RAPID 5 is leading a transformative vision to elevate Central Ohio’s quality of life by unlocking the full potential of our waterways and green spaces. It is our mission to serve as both catalyst and convener—bringing together more than 80 communities to advance a shared regional strategy grounded in conservation and stewardship, expanding equitable access, strengthening community vitality, and building a sustainable future for generations to come.
RAPID 5 Project
The RAPID 5 Project vision, created by the ULI Columbus and the Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission, is a vision for one regional park system along our five major waterways. The idea was to study knitting all five Central Ohio waterways into a single cohesive greenway system—one infused with exciting new ideas, expanded access, and community voices to benefit all of Central Ohio.
